Services
Cover Design
The saying might be: “Don’t judge a book by its cover.” Yet we are all still guilty of doing it. And that is exactly why it is so important for your book to have a good cover. If you want something one of a kind and that will pop out, a custom illustrated cover might just be the thing for you. I also offer the option for extra marketing materials.
Interior Formatting
The reader will look at this for hours, and something a little extra will always be appreciated by them. Especially in this time of special editions lovers. You will be guaranteed a design that will make your book look polished and professional.
Illustrations
Do you want to give your books a little bit more flare, create some extra special presents for your readers, or just see your characters brought to life, then this is the service for you. All illustrations will be fully customized to your wishes and characters.

Working with Mariska was an amazing experience. All the love and effort that I put into my writing was met with the same care and dedication when she worked on my interior layout and endpapers. Her expertise during the process is a breath of fresh air–providing tailored options to get the creativity flowing, clearly communicating to ensure timelines were met, and welcoming feedback to ensure a harmony between text and design to make a truly one-of-a-kind masterpiece.
– Manuel Cacho, author of A Melody of Crimson Regrets
Being an indie author for my debut book has got to be, without a doubt, one of the hardest tasks I’ve ever tried to accomplish. Every step of the way has revealed a new challenge for me to overcome. It has been entirely worth it, of course, but obviously very, very stressful. That is until I got to the interior formatting stage of the book. This should have been the MOST difficult part (I tried to do a little interior formatting myself for the ARC of my debut book which was an absolute hellscape nightmare of a time), but working with Mariska made this part of indie authoring a breeze. And God knows, I didn’t make it a simple job for her! I came with a vague idea of what I wanted my interior to look like and she quickly hit me back with the most gorgeous interior design. I just wrote a 400+ page book, but I am beyond words in the praise I’d sing for Mariska. She made sure every last detail was perfect. Then when it came time for me to turn it into my printing press (both KDP and a new press neither of us were familiar with) she went above and beyond to help me meet every single thing those presses needed. I always felt bad reaching out to her for ANOTHER change to the pdf but no matter how often I sent her an email asking for some new detail or fix she was always chipper and happy to aid me in my journey which made the process even easier for a people pleaser like me who feels distressed whenever my brain thinks I’m “bothering” somebody with something.
My goal as an indie author long term is to one day be able to help other indie authors publish their dream book, so as I go through this process I have been keeping track of the things I learn and the people I work with. Mariska has become my go-to person for interior formatting. She will never be rid of me, haha! Not only do I plan to hire her again for the sequels to my debut book, but moving forward she will be the designer I recommend to any indie author struggling to bring their dream book to life.

Mariska was a delight to work with, and really took the time to understand my book to make the perfect cover. She was extremely communicative and so knowledgeable and helpful that it made the whole process very easy and understandable. I would absolutely recommend!

Mariska is an expert at transforming your overall idea into a beautiful image and will patiently keep polishing up the design until your cover or interior is perfectly to your liking.

Mariska was absolutely a DREAM to work with! I wanted something that would make my debut romantasy stand out and she nailed it!! She took my thoughts and references and brought them to life in the best way! I cannot wait to work with her again for my next project!
